Sharing the season — MGEN volunteers bring holiday gifts to beneficiaries in Cebu.

30 December 2025 – Pasig City, Philippines – Meralco PowerGen Corporation (MGEN) has completed the mobilization of over PHP 3.2 million worth of assistance through its annual Handog sa Pasko ng MGEN (HAPAG) initiative, supporting community activities and the distribution of Noche Buena gift packs in time for the holiday season.

This year, HAPAG reached more than 6,300 beneficiaries in communities surrounding MGEN’s power plants nationwide, nearly doubling last year’s reach. The initiative was carried out through MGEN’s thermal and renewable energy subsidiaries, reflecting its collective commitment to supporting host communities across its diversified portfolio.

The program covered 44 municipalities, engaging host communities and partner stakeholders. Through HAPAG, MGEN aims to share the spirit of the season with families while strengthening long-standing relationships with the communities where it operates.

“HAPAG reflects MGEN’s commitment to being a responsible partner to our host communities. As our portfolio grows, we remain mindful that progress should be shared – and this initiative is one way we express our gratitude and support to our neighbors where we operate,” said MGEN President and CEO Emmanuel V. Rubio.

Beyond the holiday season, MGEN continues to advance initiatives that promote inclusive growth and community development, reinforcing its mission of powering a better tomorrow – together with the communities it serves.
